I, too, thought that it couldn’t, in a million years, be me.  I don’t wear tutus and plaid and patchwork tops that say Sex Pistols.  But then I thought again - how cool would one of these one-of-a-kind pieces from SmarmyClothes.com be if paired with some of the more preppy, less-worn items in my cloest?  How much better would my Friday night be if I wore one of these delicately conceived, tastefully mashed-up DIY creations by designer Alexis who also runs WhatTheCraft.com, a great resource for the craftier of us?  So much better!

Alexis also takes cutom orders-  just send her your favorite band T-shirt or some-other-kind-of-recycled T-shirt and tell her precicely what you want, and she’ll wield her genius make it for you!  Great news for those of us with fantastic ideas in our heads and grueling schedules that prevent any of this from taking place.  She is also very open-sourced with her knowledge, offering tips and sewing workshops on her site.

Now…can I pull something form this site off?  Going to try!
