I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to scroll through the lovely and amazing season by Anna Cohen. If you don’t know much about her, she was raised by designer parents and has worked for designers such as Binicocchi and Max Mara. But now, based out of her home town Portland, she designs pret-a-porter beauties out of sustainable materials (bamboo, coconut, soy, organic cotton), in green buildings, using fair laborer manufacturers. Her vision is strong, and the media certainly has picked up on it.
I’m glad to know that she is out there in the fashion community proving that innovations in fabric and manufacturing and new strategic ways to make and sell clothing are readily at the fingertips of anybody willing to try.
I love the colors she’s used in this collection - and the playful, flowing, yet dignified look she’s produced. You can buy her online at The Green Loop, but there’s not much there.
